Hors Saison, Myriam Bourgeois, 2023

The winner  – French Comic: Planète Colère, Romulus Maximus, 2022

“The cover is reminiscent of an old photograph – right from the start, I was charmed! Then, in the opening, a quotation from Gilles Deleuze precedes a series of melodic sequences and full pages without words. We pass through blood vessels to find ourselves in cosmic landscapes with a finale of bodies with the heads of planets… Dazzling, mysterious, unexpected and mythical.”

French zine

La Bingomancie, Aunin Bingocage (Aunerade Beaucage), Noeuds Editions, 2023

Les murènes, Pandora VonDerkasten, 2023

Surreal Cereal Vol. 1, Collective, No Gloss, 2023

The Winner – French Zine: Les murènes, Pandora VonDerkasten, 2023

“The zine Les murènes by Pandora Von DerKatsen immediately grabs the reader with its unique, thoughtful form. The object is shaped like a circle with folds reminiscent of a flower or shell: you have to dig through the opening to remove the poem, just as you would detach a petal or a mollusc from its shell. From a zinesque point of view, the creation of Pandora encompasses the essence of this publishing method, a materialisation that refers back to the text. Les murènes perfectly conveys the artistic mastery of its author.”

French literature

Le reste grandi, Nana Quinn, Editions du Noroit, 2023

Tristesse n. 8, Collective, Revue Tristesse, 2023

The Winner – French Litterature: Le reste grandi, Nana Quinn, Editions du Noroit, 2023

“Nana Quinn’s poetic account of the break-up of a lover plunges the reader into the intimacy of a narrator going through the various stages of grief. Sprinkled with truncated photos taken from the couple’s daily lives, this collection stirs up a feeling of voyeurism and transgression in the reader. However, this impression is quickly swept away by a simple observation: this break-up could very well be our own. A must for readers who want to fan the flames of their first love.”

This novella proposes a new way of reimagining our future and our bodies. Here, amongst stars and currents, Delaney’s strong and poetic voice breathes into our flesh. Love emerges as beautiful and imperfect, illuminating the end of the world, bringing community together.”
