Montreal’s fabulous rappeuse Donzelle was the MC for the evening, which featured a performance by Montreal’s premier paramour of “Weird Funk”, Tony Ezzy !

THE WINNERS

English Zine

coverNewsgirls, Andrea Clegg, B&D Press
Using black and white photographs and short interview excerpts, Andrea Clegg presents a moving portrait of Newsgirls, a boxing club for women in Toronto of which she is a member. Carefully designed and thoughtfully edited, this zine offers readers a glimpse into the ring to meet the women of Newsgirls and celebrates the power of community.

English Book

cloacaThe Cloaca, Andrew Hood, Invisible Publishing
This collection of insightful, observant human dramas reveals both the humour and brutality of modern day life. It is also perfectly typeset to be read easily and is overall a handsome volume. I couldn’t put it down.

English Comic

il_340x270.338358044Crud #2, Vicki Nerino
Nerino’s attention to detail is fun and hard to miss. Crud is made with blood, laughter, love and tears; it exudes these from every page and to me, embodies everything great about EXPOZINE 2012.

Livre Francophone

Fanzine Francophone

page 1Le Bathyscaphe no. 8
